2017-10-23 – 2017-10-28 Meeting many interesting people in my backpackers hostel in Hamburg, there’s a young lady that shows interest in my tango adventures.
I challenge her with a smile that at 18.00 h. her first tango lesson starts at the place I will be dancing.
Like many others that never did, she tells me that she will probably join in later.
Against all odds she turns up early, takes off her boots and walks bare foot around the dance floor.
That’s the spirit!
When I finish my dance with the German lady I am dancing with, I invite her to lead me.
She says she doesn’t know how so I tell her just to walk my legs shifting my weight.
Without any hesitation she starts walking my legs. Wonderful!
She complains she doesn’t know any steps.
I remind her of the steps she already did and that the amount is still growing.
Eventually I take over the lead and try to lead her.
This only works for as long that her brains don’t interfere with what is happening to her body.
When her brains manage to block her muscles, I let go of the lead and let her in charge of the lead again.
We’re playing around like this for almost an hour having loads of fun.
Full of enthusiasm she tells me to go and find tango places in her town in Austria and I feel proud to have inspired her.
