Evergreen singer Asha Bhonsle celebrates her 85th birthday on Saturday. Her illustrious music career spans nearly seven decades. She recorded over 11,000 songs in 20 different languages. The singer also holds the Guinness Book of World Records for being the most recorded artist in the history of music. She was also honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008. She has lent her voice for generations over the past six decades - from Zeenat Aman to Urmila Matondkar, from Rekha to Vidya Balan and the likes. From crooning classical numbers to teaming up with western artistes Boy George and Michael Stipe, Asha is one versatile singer who has done it all.
