Resident a Londres, però ja habitual a l'escena musical barcelonesa, MAVICA és el projecte personal de Marta Casanova. Armada amb una guitarra i propietària d'una veu molt característica i personal, la cantautora murciana ens interpreta "Fire", una de les cançons que estarà present en el seu EP debut, 'Gone' (Hidden Track Records, 2018). Mentre esperem per escoltar la seva primera referència, avui ens submergim en la seva veu vellutada i en els girs melòdics de les seves composicions, a vegades reminiscents del pop-rock britànic, encara que en molt més a prop de sonoritats folk. No et sorprenguis si et trobes a tu mateix cantant les seves cançons durant els pròxims dies o setmanes.
Based in London, but nowadays a regular performer of Barcelona’s music scene, MAVICA is Marta Casanova’s project as a singer-songwriter. Guitar in hand and sporting a personal and unique voice, she is performing “Fire,” one of the tracks that will be featured on her debut EP, Gone (Hidden Track Records, 2018). As we patiently wait to listen to her first release, today we dive into her silky voice and the melodic patterns inside her compositions, sometimes reminiscent of British pop rock, although with a more folky vibe. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself, during the next few days or weeks, singing MAVICA’s intricate songs.
