Strandhase stands out through their captivating live-performances, well elaborated lyrics and a diverse genremix. The Viennese band formed in 2018 and instantly started working on a wide range of musical pieces Daniel Mendl (vocals, guitar) has been laying the groundwork for over the past years.
In a surprisingly short amount of time the group, consisting of David Uprimny Arcos (Guitar), Guillaume Freysmuth (Bass) and Severin Steirer (Drums), accomplished to turn these foundations into well thought out songs; sometimes simple and strong harmonies with sudden changes, other times catchy riffs and voice melodies merged with the strangely ironical, ambiguous lyrical lines.
A combination that is and will ever be defining the sound of Strandhase.
With their first EP coming out early 2019 there is more than one reason to be exited.
