Il nome della band NA NA NA NA imita il suono che si emette quando si canticchia una canzone senza conoscerne le parole, lasciandosi guidare dalla melodia. Suoni di ispirazione nineties che genera sensazioni e visioni, in cui si rivelano, di volta in volta, il cantato emozionale e intimista ispirato ai Bright Eyes, le chitarre potenti e ritmiche viscerali dei primi Nirvana nei pezzi più ruvidi, l’alternative più melodico degli Smashing Pumpkins, i crescendo alla Neutral Milk Hotel e gli Arcade Fire nei momenti più corali.
NA NA NA NA nascono a Macerata nella primavera 2015. Dopo più di un anno di scrittura e live la band registra il loro primo album: nell’arco del 2017, in diverse sessioni, viene registrato e mixato presso Potemkin Studio di Macerata Constant Puberty uscito il 14 febbraio 2018 per le etichette El Mágico González Sounds, I Dischi di Plastica e Narvalo Suoni.
Le 14 tracce esplorano variegate influenze indie rock passando dal sussurrato all’urlato, dal pulito al distorto. L’album richiama un senso di constante instabilità.
NA NA NA NA mimics the sound you make when humming the melody of a song without knowing the lyrics. Nineties-inspired sounds generate sensations and visions, in which the emotional and intimate singing inspired by Bright Eyes is revealed together with the powerful and visceral rhythmic and guitars of the early Nirvana roughest pieces, Smashing Pumpkins most melodic alt-rock sounds, the choral crescendo of Neutral Milk Hotel and Arcade Fire.
The band was founded in Macerata, Italy, in the spring of 2015. After more than one year of writing and gigging the band records their first work: Constant Puberty, recorded over 2017 at Potemkin Studio in Macerata released on 14 February 2018 by the Italian labels El Mágico González Sounds, I Dischi di Plastica and Narvalo Suoni.
The 14 tracks flow explore a wide spectrum of indie rock influences, ranging sounds from whispering to screaming, from clean to distortion. The album suggests a sense of inner instability and recalls broken relationships.
