Lex Hoza, who's real name is Hlonela Mtoba, was born in East London, South Africa in 1993 on the 30th of May and spent half of his life down in the East.
Before he established his career within the hip hop scene, be was a hip hop dancer and decided to stop to pursue the music.
At the age of 15, Lex began his own music and was mentored by an old friend by the name of Sozizwe Maqoma. At that stage, Lex resided in East London and at age 16, he then moved up to Johannesburg, South Africa to pursue his dreams of being a hip hop musician and also complete his studies in Sound Engineering. Lex now has a diploma in Sound Engineering majoring in Audio Post Production.
Today, Lex is a father to a beautiful baby girl by the name of Luyana.
