CNY Dance Rehearsal 5

This is our fifth rehearsal, with a friend inside to watch us dance. Having an outsider's opinion was great, as he gave constructive feedback as to how our dancing was eg. the need to be synchronised and to keep our dancing pace similar to the pace of the song. I insisted that the two of us needed to dance the dance over and over again continuously to build up the stamina, and I was determined to do so. However, Xin Yee kept complaining about how she was tired, and how her knee kept getting bruised. I was upset that she was not resilient enough. As a dancer myself that had danced for ten years, I learned the art of perseverance through difficult times and through continuous training. I was surprised to know that she did not have this skill, despite the fact that she had been dancing for four years. However, I soon realised that I should not be comparing with her, as she has less experience than me, which is the equivalent of having less grit than me. My friend also told me about how quality is more important than quantity, and that it is okay to take a break once in a while. Now, I am aware that my perseverance can do great things, but it may not reap the best result.
