This is our sixth rehearsal and took place on a Saturday. I was glad that we were both committed to creating the dance and to practicing it. To my surprise, Xin Yee had brought her friend that choreographed part of the piece along with her to help us. I was shocked, but kept my initial animosity at bay. As she helped us fix the choreography and came up with a proper ending for us, my animosity disappeared and out came respect for her. I realised that while my performing abilities may triumph hers, her creativity in choreographing was so much larger than mine. I was very childish and selfish to think that she was much worse than me, until I experienced how it felt to be like in a choreographer's shoes. I realised that I shouldn't be so competitive. Towards the end, Xin Yee as usual was beginning to give up. However, instead of condemning her for it, I motivated her to finish the rehearsal with a bang.
