Stew Dixon is a singer/songwriter with a unique voice and robust guitar playing style, combined with passionate performance he mixes finger strumming and percussion with soaring vocals.
I am 25 year old singer-songwriter, based in Mitchelstown, co.Cork Ireland. I have just released my debut EP 'The Animals'on the 10th April. It is available for digital download from Bandcamp stewdixon.bandcamp.com and I am also be selling hard copies at my Live shows.
Every week, I travel up to Cork city to play there numerous open mic nights and songwriter showcases,sometimes performing 3 times in one night. At the weekend I gig through out the City and County playing local pubs and bars. To date I have performed 55 gigs since launching my solo career in January of this year.

I started writing songs in 2009 even playing support for a local band Monorail in the Crane Lane.In 2014 I decided to pursue my music career full-time.Setting out with my acoustic guitar and a handful of original songs.I am playing every opportunity I can get my hands on whether it's Busking on the streets or regularly making an appearance at Cork's numerous open mic nights and singer-songwriter showcases. At the weekend I play in pubs throughout the Munster area.
My major musical influences are The Beautiful South, Johnny cash, Bob Dylan, Ben Howard and Damien Rice.
My younger sister Leanne Dixon is set to release her debut EP 'slide away, sail away' in May and I wrote all six tracks on the EP.
