At the age of 25 Nekatrios moved to New York City, New York where he studied computer information systems at the city university of New York, while performing and practicing his musical schools. During the same period he performed with musicians from around the world, mainly from the middle east.
He returned to Greece in 2001 where he started making a full living, playing music.
In 2003 he won all three titles in a song-writing festival based in Trikalla, Greece called “Tsitsania”, which include those of, best composition, best performance, and lyrical song.
A few months later he produced and recorded his first CD with covers of popular Greek songs, which got released, featured in “Pista”, a Greek music magazine.
He appeared in various TV shows such as “Kalimera Ellada” in 1994, in the “Morning show of Alfa Tv” in 2003 and many more.
In 2010 Nektarios Mallas, made a critical decision in his musical career, where he found himself busking in well known streets of Greece for his personal enrichment. This decision was a way for him to promote himself and his music as it was the link for his next achievement.
Whilst buskin Nektarios Mallas made a lot of connections with well-known artists such as Giannis Vardis, Socrates Malamas and Michalis Violaris.
These connections gave him the idea to participate in a well establishes talent show, the Voice of Greece, giving him the opportunity to be recognized world wide. He was among the finalists, where he met and received applause and extremely positive criticism by top artists in the Greek music industry including Antonis Remos, Despina Vandi, Melina Aslanidou, Stavento, Christos Dantis and Giorgos Papadopoulos.
Since then his musical journey continuous in great success, performing live in various venues around Greece, and Cyprus.
