Andrea Martinez is a performer with one of the best rocker shows in Lima. She's energetic but also melancholic at times, singing about real everyday things and always looking for new sounds. A big fan of Lianne La Havas, Paramore, Twenty One Pilots, Bjˆrk, Radiohead and others, that influence her always varying music. You donít know what you are going to get in the next song.
Starting her career at 12 years of age, Andrea has stood on different scenarios where she discovered singing and composing as her true passions. She earned a Bachelorís degree in Music from Peru's Catholic University (PUCP) in 2014. During her studies, she explored different music genres ranging from rock, to bossa nova, criolla music and other styles. One of her greatest achievements was recording vocals for one of the most important singer in Per˙: Susana Baca.
In May 2015 she released her first EP. Since then, she has not slow down and has performed in different stages around Lima including La Noche de Barranco, Acustirock at Estadio San Marcos, Hard Rock Cafe - Lima and also on radio and television and now online thanks to Balcony TV.
Nowadays, Andrea Martinez is in the creative process and music production of her first album and, this single release, No temas (Donít be afraid) is a clear preview of what's to come for her.
