Rafo de la Cuba has been part of the Lima indie since for almost 20 years. He founded the Lima based cult band Presidente Morsa on 1999 and later moved on to ¨La Mudafónica” where his song “a donde van” starred as the opening titles of TV show “mesa de noche”
For the most part of the past decade Rafo de la Cuba went into hiatus, leaving most of his followers expectantly. However, during those years, bootlegged version of his songs where leaked and unearthed by the true Rafo de la Cuba fanatics, turning him into one of the most emblematic cases of unobserved talent the scene in Lima had ever witnessed.
Rafo’s silence lasted until 2013 in which he and old friends started the band “La Pequeña Muerte” who opened for “The Smashing Pumpkins” and later on released a self titled album. For the past few months its been rumored that he will be releasing new music.
