■北朝鮮は９日、朝鮮中央テレビの放送で、アメリカ軍の基地があるグアムを弾道ミサイルで攻撃する作戦を慎重に検討していると威嚇した。
■グアムの基地から飛び立ったアメリカ軍の戦略爆撃機が、朝鮮半島上空でたびたび訓練を行ったことなどに反発したもの。
■アメリカ軍によると、８日にも朝鮮半島や東シナ海の上空などで、日本や韓国とそれぞれ訓練を行ったという。北朝鮮をけん制する狙いがあるものとみられ、アメリカ軍は声明で「今夜にでも戦う準備がある」としていた。
■今回、北朝鮮が作戦に使うとしているのは、新型の中距離弾道ミサイル“火星１２型”。最大射程は約５０００キロとされ、射程内にグアムを含むことになる。
■北朝鮮は、グアム攻撃作戦は、金正恩委員長が決断を下せば“任意の時に同時多発的に連発される”と威嚇した上で、「我々がこのようなやむをえない軍事的選択をしないよう、（アメリカは）我々に対する無分別な軍事的挑発行為を直ちにやめるべきだ」と放送。
■北朝鮮が具体的な発射計画にまで踏み込んで言及するのは異例のこと。武力行使も辞さない姿勢を示したアメリカを強くけん制する狙いがある。
■アメリカの新聞・ワシントンポストは、情報機関の分析として「北朝鮮が弾道ミサイルに搭載可能となる核弾頭の小型化に成功した」と伝えた。
■アメリカのトランプ大統領は、北朝鮮が新たなＩＣＢＭ＝大陸間弾道ミサイルの発射実験や核実験を行った場合は、武力行使も辞さないと強く警告。今月２１日からは、北朝鮮が激しく反発するアメリカ軍と韓国軍による合同軍事演習が始まる予定で、緊張がさらに高まることは必至だ。
