FOX News CEO Roger Ailes May Have Died After Falling Down

Roger Ailes, the founder and former chairman and CEO of Fox News has passed away.

The TV executive was 77 years old, and his death comes less than a year after he resigned from Fox Networks over sexual harassment allegations.

His wife Elizabeth broke the news to Drudge with a statement saying that she is profoundly sad and heartbroken to report that her husband had passed away. She called him a loving husband to her, his son, and a loyal friend to many.

She went on to call him a patriot, and said that he was profoundly grateful to live in a country that gave him so much opportunity to work hard, to rise, and to give back.

TMZ reported that Ailes died after falling down and hitting his head at his Palm Beach Florida home eight days before.

And sources say he had become unconscious and fell into a coma the on the morning he died.

Ailes had just celebrated his 77th birthday.
