Sir Roger Moore, who captured our hearts with his presence on the silver screen, has passed away.
The former Bond star’s family revealed that the actor had died in Switzerland after a short but brave battle with cancer.
In a statement, the family said that the love with which he was surrounded in his final days was so great it cannot be quantified in words alone.
They added that they know their love will be magnified many times over across the world by people who knew him for his films, his television shows and his passionate work for UNICEF, which he considered his greatest achievement.
Moore enjoyed a celebrated career that spanned for over 6 decades but will forever be known for being the longest-running actor to play James Bond – something he did for 12 years, starting with 1973’s Live and Let Die.
Roger was 89.
