KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday here granted bail to three activists of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-London) booked under terrorism and sedition charges, ARY News reported.

A SHC bench in a hearing granted bail to Hassan Aalim, Javed Shaukat, and Faisal.

The court ordered each accused to deposit two lacs’ surety bond and to submit their passports in the trial court.

While granting bail to the suspects, the bench remarked that evidence against the accused has been insufficient.

Previously, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) had rejected the bail-pleas of the three accused.

The Rangers lawyer informed the bench that witnesses have identified the suspects in front of a Judicial Magistrate.

Previously Kanwar Naveed Jamil MNA, who was wanted to police in the case, granted bail by the court.

Chief Justice queried the prosecutor today whether he appealed against the bail orders of the MNA.

Rangers lawyer said that the name of the MPA was not given in the FIR and neither he could be seen in the television footage of the incident.
