Tim Cook: Apple Watch sales hit all-time high record

Apple Watch sales set an all-time high sales record during the first week of holiday shopping, according to Chief Executive Tim Cook. Research firm IDC estimated nearly 1.1 million units of the gadget were sold during the third quarter of 2016. "Our data shows that Apple Watch is doing great and looks to be one of the most popular holiday gifts this year," Cook wrote in an email to Reuters. The company, which lowered the price of the gadget this year, predicts strong sales of the watch during the holiday quarter.
