The musical fountain in Sentosa in Singapore has been replaced by a newly formed attraction which is a multi-million dollar light and water extravaganza comprising of water showers, lasers, pyrotechnics, water jets, loud music and computer imaging. This new night attraction in Sentosa was opened in April 2007.

This costly production has been designed with the internationally acclaimed and world renowned, Yves Peopin. This attraction is one of its kind in this region that operates in the sea and people watch it from the shore. Situated next to the Express Beach Station in Sentosa, this mystical attraction is a worth watch. There are two shows every night at 7.40 P.M and 8.40 P.M. The total capacity of this open-air amphitheater is around 2,500.

The story that is narrated here is about the sea creatures and this story is told through the medium of light, sound, laser, water and holograms. Colorful lights, and amazing effects of water and sounds make it a brilliant and breathtaking experience for the spectators. The performance is really stunning and truly delightful for the onlookers, who get transported into a totally different world of enchanting pleasures. A dashing youthful hero, a lovely princess, numinous sea creatures and all such mystical things come to life in this magical fountain.

Songs of the Sea is a unique attraction because here there are no blockades between the show and the natural elements. This multi-sensory spectacular show with loud music, enigmatic effects, pyrotechnics and also a live cast is a great amalgamation of technology, live characters, lights, lasers, water jets and fire effects that create a startling visual feast.
