Federal Authorities Investigate Virginia Stabbings As Possible ISIS-Inspired Attack

The FBI has become involved in the investigation of a 20-year-old man arrested in connection to the stabbing of two people in Roanoke, Virginia.

The FBI has become involved in the investigation of a 20-year-old man arrested in connection to the stabbing of two people in Roanoke, Virginia, reports ABC News. 
There are suspicions the Saturday attack may have been inspired by ISIS. 
According to witnesses, the assailant yelled, ‘Allah Akbar’, meaning God is Great, while attacking the victims with a knife, notes CBS News.
Wasil Farooqui was taken into custody when, in the hours following the stabbings, he showed up at an emergency room to have wounds treated. 
He first appeared on the FBI’s radar for a possible attempt to travel to Syria earlier this year, reports FOX News. 
According to ABC News, the victims, who are believed to be random targets, are now hospitalized. Their conditions remain unknown.
