Sơn Đoòng Cave - Cave in Central Vietnam, now bears the title of the largest caves in the world. It is situated in the heart of the National Park Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park in Quang Binh province, near the Vietnam-Laos border. Its size reaches record high - a height of 200 meters, width - 150 meters, and length - more than 5 kilometers. The total volume of the unique education has 38.5 million m³.
Lying deep in the jungle entrance to the cave was found by a local resident for the first time on the Ho Han in 1991, but the wafting out the roar of the water flow and steep descent did not allow him to explore it from the inside. Only in 2009 a group of British scientists led by Howard Limbert could find in Vietnam and successfully explore Sơn Đoòng Cave, after which they announced the official opening of the cave, and confirmed that the size allows to assign it the status of the biggest on the planet.
