Port Campbell National Park - a protected National Park in Victoria, Australia, located 190 kilometers south-west of Melbourne. Along its coastline scattered many bizarre rock formations, canyons, arches and grottos. As part of the coast of shipwrecks, the park keeps on its territory famous tourist attractions - the formation of limestone Twelve Apostles, London arch, rock grotto cave and clattering at least a great Loch Ard Gorge.
Natural Monument Twelve Apostles is a group standing near limestone cliffs, nestled on the coast of Port Campbell National Park, in the arms of the raging waves. They lie in the path of the Great Ocean Road, which extends 243 km along the scenic coast of the Indian Ocean. According to geologists the age of these rock formations could be from 10 to 20 million years. To date, the band have only 8 rocks, the height of some of them reaches 45 meters. Twelve Apostles - one of the most popular and most visited attractions of Victoria and across Australia, which is annually visited by about two million tourists.
