Malaysian Python Could Be World’s Longest Captured Snake

A 26.2-foot-long reticulated python found in Malaysia on April 7 by construction workers is believed to be the world’s longest snake ever captured. However, the BBC is reporting that the animal died a few days later on Sunday after laying eggs.

A snake in Malaysia could break the record for the longest ever captured in the world. 
A member of the rescue team told The Guardian that the reticulated python was about 26.2 feet long and weighed roughly 550 pounds.
