MANSFIELD, OHIO — Ohio police have found human remains that they believe is a 62-year-old missing woman who disappeared eight months ago. The remains were scattered in three desolate places in Richland County. Police are still awaiting a positive identification from the County Coroner's Office.
Mansfield police believe they have found Patsy Hudson, who was last seen in her home on July 4, the same day her neighbors, Walter Renz, 53, and girlfriend Linda Bleher, 57, moved out of the house next door.
Police searched a field off Ransom Road, in a rural area between Ohio 603 and Ganges Five Points Road. They also searched an area nearby Snake Road near Richland County Coon Hunters Club and an area off Ohio 545 and Franklin Church Road, north of Eby Road.
On the day Hudson was last seen, a police report was filed at her home on 284 Spring Street, regarding a dispute involving her neighbor at 290 Spring Street. Hudson had made the report saying the couple had poisoned her two cats.
Renz and Bleher have been arrested on a campsite southwest of Nashville, Tennessee on Feb. 4 after trying to use Hudson's credit card.
Investigators learned that Hudson was still receiving direct deposits of her Social Security checks to her Chase account. Following her disappearance, ATM withdrawals have been made from that account across the country. There have also been cell phone payments made from the same account, however Hudson did not have a cellphone.
Renz and Bleher were charged with receiving stolen property and violating probation in Kentucky, respectively, by the U.S. Marshals Task Force.
Police are continuing their investigation.
