Capacitive sensor FAILS for 3D Printer

Capacitive sensor FAILS
Zero on the left of the bed is set perfect but moving to the right the nozzle is about 1mm above the bed when zero is selected.
It appears that this sensor is triggering at different distances depending the position on the build plate.
If it sensors the distance then it should be the same distance from the bed when set to zero. Even if the build plate is not physically level.
