Chinese student at Arizona State University shot dead in road rage incident

TEMPE, ARIZONA — A Chinese student studying at Arizona State University was shot and killed in an road rage incident on Saturday.

The shooting took place after 19-year-old Chinese national Yue Jiang was driving with her boyfriend when they stopped at a red light and then rear-ended by the suspect Holly Davis in Tempe.

According to CBS 5 AZ, Jiang's boyfriend left the vehicle to examine the damage but quickly returned after seeing Davis had a gun. Davis then walked to the driver's side and opened fire multiple times at Jiang through the window.

After being shot, Jiang allegedly tried to flee by making a U-turn but collided with another car carrying a family of five. The family members, including a pregnant woman and three children sustained minor injuries. Jiang died later at a hospital while her boyfriend suffered minor injuries.

Davis was later captured at an apartment she shared with her boyfriend. She has been charged on four felony charges, including first-degree premeditated murder.
