This week, we’re looking at the life and legacy of the first Socialist president of France's Fifth Republic. François Mitterrand was born a century ago this year, and passed away just two decades ago. Well beyond his fourteen years in power, Mitterrand had a lasting effect on French society, becoming the other great post-war leader after General de Gaulle.
