François Hollande and Xi Jinping strive to make a carbon-cutting deal stick in Paris later this month with a final resolution that enforces binding targets. France and Britain are openly courting Beijing to help fund nuclear projects - Hollande is offering Xi minority stakes in Areva, whilst David Cameron has struck a deal with China to build a new nuclear plant at Hinkley Point.
