00:00Kemi Baden, quite rightly, called upon the Prime Minister to apologise and withdraw some
00:05of the comments that David Lammy had made in the past which were really pretty abrasive
00:12would be an understatement and I think those kind of things are the things that are probably
00:17not going to make for encouraging a positive relationship so I think those things matter
00:23but of course look as an opposition we are going to be thoroughly supportive of the government
00:28when it comes to forging a positive close relationship with our most important ally.
00:32Donald Trump and others in his administration are very clearly aware of all of this and
00:37it then becomes a question of well what do you do from now and our point is I think it
00:41would be a good start actually for David Lammy just to withdraw those remarks and start with
00:45a clean slate.
