We're throwing down in an all-out CHEF DOWN. We challenge two chefs to create the best dish they can with Shiitake mushrooms and tofu, and it’s going to be EPIC. EPIC, we say!!!

Because it’s National Mushroom Month, so nows the time to get down with some fungi fun.

In this inaugural episode of Mushroom Chef Down, we’re checking out Vietnamese hot spot Phorage, where the Chef-owner Perry Cheung is going up against his Chef de Cuisine Ulises Pineda-Alfaro from ASAP Phorage. It's a Tasted Mushroom Chef Down. Will the boss prevail, or will Ulises have a thing or two to teach him? Chef Cheung will be presenting a tofu and shiitake stir fry, where as Chef Pineda-Alfaro enters the ring with a Vietnamese style mushrooom-tofu sloppy joe.

Whose culinary magic will reign supreme? Hosts Michael Truly and Ross Everett will be the judges.

The chef that best showcases the ingredients wins the Chef Down, but we here at Tasted believe that we’re always winners, as long as there’s tasty food!
