McDonalds wants you to eat their hand pies in New Zealand, and apparently these are not pies filled with severed hands.

You Kiwis have some McTasting to do for us because for a limited time you can try out McDonalds Butter Chicken Pie as well as a Plum N’ Custard Pie. Aussies, you’re not safe either because we’re sending you on a mission to try out all the Gourmet Breakfast items that McDonalds is offering, and then to explain to us what “chipolata sausage” is.

We’re not sure which country has the stranger foods, but Australia certainly has more. The gourmet breakfast options include the Cafe Breakfast Platter, Avocado Smash Platter, Bacon and Egg Roll, Corn Fritter Platter, and even Belgian Waffles with yogurt and fruit. If it wasn’t from McDonalds those might actually sound appealing.

Have any of you New Zealanders tried the hand pies at McDonalds? How are they? And to the Australians out there, have you experienced a gourmet McDonalds breakfast? What did you try? How did it compare to their normal breakfast? Is there a better word than gourmet to call these offerings?
