Threat Level Raised For Underwater Volcano

Kick ‘em Jenny, an aquatic volcano off the coast of Grenada, will likely erupt soon, according to researchers. The eruption is not particularly dangerous, but could destroy ships within the vicinity.

Kick ‘em Jenny is neither a request nor the name of an indie band—it’s an active underwater volcano that could erupt with less than 24-hours notice. 

The volcano, situated about five miles off the northern coast of Grenada, has recently been elevated from yellow awareness status to orange alert status by the Seismic Research Center at the University of the West Indies.
