Indian Police Detain ‘Suspected Spy’ Pigeon

Police in India have detained a pigeon suspected of spying for Pakistan; it was found at a home near the shared border by an Indian boy who noticed it had a Pakistan-related message and phone number on its body.

Pigeons were once used in large numbers to carry covert messages and that practice may still be existent.

Indian authorities have taken into custody a pigeon that they believe was sent over from Pakistan for spying purposes.

The bird was found by a 14-year old boy around his house about 2.5 miles from the shared border.

He became suspicious after noticing a message written in Urdu, Pakistan’s national language, along with a series of numbers
