Father Shares School’s Letter Saying Kids’ Trip To Boston Is An Unexcused Absence

A letter sent by a father to a Pennsylvania school in response to their deeming an educational trip to Boston as an unexcused absence has gone viral.

Running the Boston Marathon is a lifetime goal for many, and one father who finally did it wanted to share the experience with his family.

Making that happen required that Michael Rossi take his children out of school, but to ensure they didn’t miss out on learning he gave them an educational tour of the city as well. 

Their Pennsylvania school, however, didn’t agree that the absence was justified and deemed it as being unexcused. 

To let the father know of the decision, the principal sent a strongly worded letter which
