Amti is an easy and tasty typical Maharashtrian style Dal / Curry that is served with chapati or plain rice. Our chef Archana adds a twist to this Dal recipe by adding some Raw Mangoes (kairi)!
Ingredients:
1 Raw Mango chopped 1 Cup Grated Coconut 4-5 cloves of Garlic 1/2 inch Ginger 1 tsp Mix Masala 1 tsp Coriander Seeds Powder 1 tsp Mustard Seeds 1/2 tsp Turmeric 1 tsp Sugar Curry Leaves Salt to taste Water

१ कैरी, तुकडे करून १ कप खवलेला ओला नारळ ४-५ लसूण १/२ इंच आलं १ tsp mix मसाला १ tsp धणे पावडर १ tsp मोहरी १/२ tsp हळद १ tsp साखर मीठ पाणी
Method:
- In a mixer add grated coconut, coriander seeds powder, garlic, ginger, mix masala and little water. Grind everything in a fine paste. - In a pan, add oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves, turmeric powder and the masala paste. Add some water and mix everything well. - Add chopped raw mangoes / kairi. - Then add sugar & salt. Mix everything well. - Cover it with a lid and let the Dal cook till 5-10 minutes. - Serve Kairichi Amti with chapati and plain rice.
