Popeye's Pulls Out Red Stick Chicken! - Food Feeder

Popeye’s has a new item on their menu. And while the temptation was strong to give the new product a completely f#&king made-up name, like “Quesalupa” they settled on “Red Stick Chicken.” Which isn’t better, even though it uses actual words.

Popeye’s claims they came by the name for these Tabasco-Marinated chicken strips honestly, because tabasco farmers use an actual red-colored stick to compare to chilies, to determine if they’ve reached peak ripeness. Which is kind of cool, and kind of a boring thing to name a food item after. Whatever. If you’re into spicy chicken items, you can get the Red Stick strips, fries, a biscuit, and smoky Ranch dipping sauce for not very much money.

Like many new and low-priced menu items, Red Stick Chicken is only available through April 29th, so you’d better hurry out and get some of your own!!!! Or, you better comment on this video so that we can force Noah to go get some for the whole office to eat on camera.

Don’t want to go ALL THE WAY to your local Popeye’s? Then check out this review over at Grubgrade: http://goo.gl/UUQF9P

Have you tried Red Sitck Chicken? What did you think? What’s the funniest Red Stick pun you can think of? Do you like your fried chicken hot, or do you prefer the more mild, savory flavors? Would you like to see Noah or the rest of the Tasted crew try out some of this spicy chicken?
