Honduran activists oppose US militarization strategies

A new anti-imperialist space was opened on Friday in Tegucigalpa, where social movements expressed concern about US militarization strategies. Activists and political analysts said that President Obama should know that people don't agree with these strategies or the establishment in Honduras of the biggest US military base in Central America. The United States has recently beefed up its military presence in Honduras with more Marines scheduled to arrive. The activists also expressed solidarity with Venezuela. teleSUR
