Guatemala: Maya communities accuse Italian company of harassment

Sixty Maya indigenous communities in northern Guatemala are accusing the Italian hydroelectric company ENEL of a campaign of harassment. Villagers charge that the company has taken over large extensions of land to build damns, forcing out the affected population. Leaders of the resistance to the hydroelectric projects have been harassed and whole communities have had to flee the area. teleSUR
