Its the Christmas time and all of you might be ready with your lovely Christmas Cakes. Today Maria Goretti is here with her teacher, Fabian Namory, Mumbai based confectioner to help you to decorate your lovely cakes. Watch the video and try out this to jazz up your classy Christmas Cake.

So get ready, it’s time for the fun bit!
Ingredients:
Christmas Cake – 1/2 kg,
Marzipan – 300 gms,
Thinned Jam,
Fondant – 300gms,
Colour Fondant as per requirement

Method:

1) Measure the cake, you will then know how big to roll out the marzipan.
2) Massage Marzipan and roll it out evenly and brush it off with thin layer of jam so that it will stick to the cake properly.
3) Use the rolling rod to lift the marzipan, lift over the cake and unroll it properly.
4) Ease down the sides, smooth the surface and trim the base properly.
5) Again spread thin layer of jam over the marzipan so that the fondant sticks properly on the cake.
6) Roll out the fondant to the size of cake and and roll it over the rolling pin and unravel it carefully. Use the cutter to cut the ends to give a smooth finish.
7) Next comes the most interesting part of cake decoration. Do it as per your own imagination
