Ferguson awaits grand jury decision

The streets of Ferguson Missouri were filled with community members Saturday night as they await a grand jury decision on the case of a white police officer who fatally shot a black teen here over the summer.

People in this town and across the country are waiting to learn the fate of officer Darren Wilson who shot and killed 18 year old Michael Brown.

Many in the community have called for his arrest. If he is not indicted, local and state officials fear the community's outrage maybe result in violence.

One protester said regardless of the decision, the public should remain calm.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) VISITOR FROM KANSAS CITY, MICHAEL WHEELER, SAYING:

"My message to the community is - stay peaceful, the message also is - don't give up, because the things are changing, because the world is watching, the whole world is focussing on Ferguson. And a lot of people are praying and believe in for the best."
