Bad Santa Allegedly Robs Australian Post Office

A man recently donned a big white beard and red suit while he reportedly robbed a post office. On Saturday, the wannabe Saint Nick walked into the business and demanded money.
Nothing signifies Christmas quite like grown men dressing up as Santa Claus. Unfortunately, there are some who use the get-up for sinister purposes.
Such was the case in Melbourne, Australia, as a man donned a big white beard and red suit while he reportedly robbed a post office.
On Saturday, the wannabe Saint Nick walked into the business and up the counter. In addition to the suit, the suspect was wearing a pair of sunglasses and carrying a Santa sack that would, under normal circumstances, be filled with gifts for children.
Police said postal employees initially thought he was coming inside to hand out candy, but soon learned he had other things in mind.
He demanded money and the female clerk complied. She handed over an undisclosed amount of cash. He placed the money his sack and then jumped over the counter to rummage around for more valuables before fleeing from the building.
The suspect got into a cream colored Jeep with bogus plates and drove off. No weapon was brandished during the crime and no one was hurt.
Police have since written up a media release titled ‘HO HO HOPE WE CATCH HIM’. A note reads “Detectives from Moreland Crime Investigation Unit are investigating a robbery at a post office in Oak Park.. where Santa appeared to be more naughty than nice.”
