Honda’s ASIMO robot is constantly showing the world some new tricks. Recently the humanoid robot busted out a few dance moves for all to see.

Footage of it has been posted to Facebook with a simple note that reads ‘Friday ASIMO Dance Party! Feel free to join in.’

The human-like robot started out standing completely still before lifting its right arm and lowering it a few times. From there, the other arm got involved.

Up, down to the side, the hands were going everywhere. Next ASIMO’s legs started grooving, stepping to the left and right.

While the motions were a little slow if compared to an actual human doing the dancing, the performance was still quite impressive.

The cute little robot was keeping time with the beat nicely, but as one viewer pointed out, it would have been more fitting if Honda’s masterpiece was doing the 'Robot Dance'.

ASIMO was first unveiled in 2000. In the 14 years that followed the robot has been busy touring the world and appearing on TV. It has played soccer with President Obama and also danced at the RoboCup 2013 competition.

ASIMO measures 51 inches high by 18 inches wide and has a one-hour battery life.
