The Global African - Egypt Today

Each week on “The Global African” host Bill Fletcher, Jr. addresses issues facing Africa and the African Diasporas. In June 2013 massive demonstrations in Egypt led to the downfall of Mohamed Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood government. A year previously he had been swept into office in the wake of the mass mobilizations that ended the 30-year dictatorship of Hosni Mubarak. Today's edition of The Global African takes a look at these developments and the current situation in the North African nation through interviews with independent progressive Egyptian journalist Sharif Kouddous and Howard University professor and expert on Egyptian affairs Dr. Mervat Hatem. teleSUR
