WHERE WAS KIN JONG-UN? WEB USERS INVESTIGATE
Kim Jong-un has made a re-appearance after not being seen in public for over a month. These pictures were released by official state newspaper "Rodong Sinmum" on Tuesday October 14th, and show the North Korean leader visiting a newly built residential neighbourhood and a science academy in Pyongyang. Social networks have since been buzzing with commentary about his return to the spotlight, and a lot of web users have been making playful suggestions as to what he got up to during his disappearance.
Many have been posting under the #WhereWasKimJongUn hashtag with their theories over the North Korean leader's media absence. Some say the dictator took around six weeks leave to try and launch his music career, while others claim he was hoping to become a star of the small or silver screen … a lot of the posts come with pretty realistic photomontages depicting Kim Jong-un in all manner of wacky and unlikely scenarios.
Indeed, the Pyongyang strongman`s disappearance has certainly inspired web users; some have revisited the famous “Where`s Waldo” comic strip, replacing the hero with Kim Jong-un. So you have to try and find the dictator who`s hiding among hundreds of other characters.
