The speech goes on with many more offenses and threats towards South Korea as long as they remain allies of the United States. You know, right, that its very common for North-Korean deserters to flee towards South Korea in order to escape hunger. South-Koreans periodically slip leaflets into air balloons near the border, which are released whenever the wind is blowing in their favor so that they land in North Korea. Such leaflets take news from the south with them since there is no internet in the north whatsoever. Naturally, the only two things that make people stay in North Korea despite the hunger and horrible life are the fear of government violence and the lack of knowledge regarding how bad their lives actually are in comparison to their southern neighbor. Every communist experiment ends up this way; human beings long for freedom. Being stuck obeying orders from a politician or a supreme leader, even if, by chance, they were well-intentioned and intelligent, goes against human nature. One can add to this the fact that their orders are typically not well-intended - they aim at helping themselves and their friends, never those who actually receive the order. To top it off, they are typically stupid, meaningless orders, since the supreme leader never has the information he needs to formulate such orders. Hayek explains: information is disseminated in society. The is no group of people or, much less, a single person who is capable of having more knowledge than the entirety of society.
