The day after Thanksgiving, known as Black Friday, has become a shopping holiday when stores have special deals and sales to stir up more business, and as a way to kick off the holiday shopping season.

This year, some experts say the stores are going to open their doors even earlier than they usually do, starting in the morning, and staying open all day on the Thanksgiving holiday.

Stores like Target, and Best Buy won’t release their Black Friday operating hours until later this month, but there is speculation that they’re going to take advantage of the shopping spirit and open earlier than usual.

Some people think that Black Friday is even starting to overshadow the Thanksgiving holiday by making some employees show up for work instead of spending time with their families.

But according to a Best Buy manager named Kevin Switzer: “If anything, it's a little bit better for the business and the store.”

Shoppers often line up the night before to get into the store right when it opens before certain items sell out.

Episodes of violence or tragic accidents associated with Black Friday have been reported over the past few years.
