Brazil: Possible human rights setback if opposition wins vote

Brazil is about to close the page of the Truth Commissions created by outgoing president Dilma Roussef. Human rights organizations and activists, however, expect it to be only the beginning on the path to historical truth, memory and justice. However, days before the presidential elections, the fear is that there could be a possible setback in terms of human rights policies if the conservative candidates were to win the elections. The truth commissions created by Roussef will end their work in December; conservative candidates Aecio Neves and Marina Silva have already expressed opposition to such processes. TeleSUR.
