Woman Struck By Cyclist In Central Park Dies
Tragically, a woman has passed away after she was struck by a bicyclist while walking through a Central Park crosswalk.
Tragically, a woman has passed away after she was struck by a bicyclist while walking through a Central Park crosswalk in New York City. 59-year-old Jill Tarlov was hit at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
She encountered severe head trauma when her body struck the ground. She was rushed to a local medical center where she was placed on life support. Her condition had been listed as critical the day following the crash and unfortunately she could not pull through.
Following her death, her husband released a statement noting “My wife was beautiful in every way imaginable… Everyone who had ever met her was somehow made better by her company. Even though she has been taken from us far too soon, her spirit will live on forever."
He remained at the scene of the accident and has not been charged with any crime. Police have since increased enforcement in the areas near the crash site.
