Pizza Hut has re-invented itself! Or, rather, they’ve re-invented one of their old, mediocre produts as a shameless movie tie-in! Because the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles literally eat anything on pizza, they’ll clearly go for Pizza Hut Cheesy Bites Pizza!

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles did, in fact, consume a great deal of pizza. Sometimes with toppings like marshmallows and whipped cream. So, we’re guessing Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michaelangelo wouldn’t DISapprove of the Cheese Bites pizza (wherein the crust is replaced with a ring of dough-wrapped balls of cheese). But this may be the rare case where a food company doesn’t go weird ENOUGH with its movie marketing menu.

Except the part where they arbitrarily said different topping combinations (none of which were peanut butter and jelly) were “Michaelangelo’s Favorite!”

Foodbeast reports on the story. (They also previously made real-life versions of all the pizzas the TMNT consumed on the show): http://goo.gl/jRG5Wk

The Overlords of Tasted.com love feeding you guys what you love, and you love to watch us try foods for you, so that you don't have to (or so you can decide whether to run out and get some). Thus, we are running a highly scientific experiment on our office mates to see if any of them are actually giant turtles wearing trench coats and fedoras. By feeding them Pizza Hut Cheese Bites pizza. SCIENCE!!!

Are you going to go out and try the Cheese Bites pizza in honor of your favorite Ninja turtle? Are you going to get the Katana cut? Who is your favorite ninja turtle? in the realm of shameless food/movie tie-ins, how do you think this one stacks up? Any other bizzaro food branding you think we should be aware of, and report on on the show?
