Fire Department City of New York Marine department workers found the first man, age 29, on the West Bank Lighthouse Island south of Staten Island at around 8 a.m. They were told that a second man was also stranded in the area, and officials sent out an alert.

Not long after, a 47-year-old New Jersey man was airlifted off of Swinburne Island near the Verrazano Narrows Bridge.

Both men were immediately taken to the Staten Island University Hospital North to make sure they were okay.

The older jet skier had no visible injuries, and was reportedly released from the hospital after being treated for hypothermia.

A clip of video footage from the second rescue was released on the NYPD's YouTube channel.
