Man Builds Incredible Off-Roading Truck To Share With His Daughter

Inventor Bran Ferren wants to explore the world with his young daughter, and he built a super-truck for it.

Trucks have been used by the military, for construction and just driving around town. One man took the idea of a truck, and expanded it into a luxury educational center for his family.

Becoming a first-time dad in his late 50's made inventor Bran Ferren realize he won't be around for a lot of his daughter's life.

An adventurous man throughout his entire life, Ferren wanted to share that with his daughter.

Named after Ferren's daughter, he created the KiraVan. Ferren considers it a learning center on wheels.

The vehicle is comprised of a Unimog in the front, and a fifth-wheel camper behind it.

The Unimog is an all-terrain vehicle engineered by Mercedes that can literally go anywhere.

The KiraVan can carry 170 gallons of diesel or biodiesel, which provides up to 2000 miles of travel.

The 52-foot trailer contains a full kitchen, a bathroom, sleeping compartments, two computers and a private area just for Kira.

Ferren declines to state the truck’s actual cost, but alludes to it being in the millions.

Along with his daughter's use of the vehicle, Ferren believes teams of scientists and films crews will benefit from the vehicle.
